My Opinion:
As my hair is quite thick, I've always favoured a Nylon Bristle Brush to help detangle my locks without causing any excess damage. My hair is naturally straight, long and without extensions. The Belle Brush glides through my hair with ease, it doesn't tug or break my hair and compared to a standard brush, I've noticed far less fall out. It also worked well on both wet and dry hair. It feels kind on my scalp and makes for a pleasant brushing experience.

The Baby Belle Brush 

What is it?
The Baby Belle is a miniature, more flexible and child friendly version to the Belle Brush Original

My Opinion:
In terms of its use and benefits, this is obviously similar to The Belle Brush Original and my opinion remains the same. The Baby brush however is a much more convenient size for on the go. Perfect for travel or to pop in your handbag, it's an ideal size to carry around. I have several travel brushes, but to be honest other than the functionality of the size, I always felt like the bristles were an afterthought. Most companies just offered a small brush and that was it. There was no additional attention to the bristles or thought into how it would benefit the hair. In my opinion, The Baby Belle Brush not only has the convenience of being travel friendly but it also has the additional care and attention to its bristles and benefits which so many of its competitors lack in their minis.

What is a Round Hairbrush?

I find Round Brushes to be one of the top Hair Tools people are most apprehensive about using, usually due to a previous tangling experience. Not to fear, here are some tips on how to best use a Round Hair Brush:

• Choose which size barrel suits you best. The smaller the diameter, the smaller the curl will be
• Consider the length of your hair and the size of the curl/wave you want to create

• What you do next will depend on how you wish to style your hair
• Try beginning with the round brush at the base of your roots, then roll it down to the ends, following the brush with the heat from your hairdryer
• Remember Practice makes Perfect
• Once you get the hang of it, A round brush can help tame frizz and will leave you with a beautiful bounce to your hair

My Opinion:
​When I book in for a Salon Blowdry, I'm always mesmerised by how the stylist uses a classic round brush, creating the most beautiful bouncy locks and making it look almost effortless. After many failed attempts of trying to recreate the same look at home, I finally got the hang of it and whilst I'm still no pro, I do enjoy using a round brush for blowdrying my hair. Because of this, I was excited to try the Belle Brush Medium on my hair and it certainly didn't disappoint. The first thing I noticed was that compared to my old brush, it perfectly gripped my hair without excess tugging and pulling from my roots. I didn't get any tangles, it glided smoothly from my root to ends and it eliminated any frizz leaving me with a healthy bounce and shine.

​The Belle Backcomb

What is it?
The Belle Backcomb, unlike other backcombing brushes, uses flexible bristles as opposed to the standard boar bristle which can sometimes be too rough for the backcombing process. The carefully designed double length bristles with five lines of teeth helps you to achieve height and volume, without damage or breakage.  

My Opinion:
​As someone who loves to backcomb their hair, I've surprisingly never tried a brush like this before. I've tried using a boar bristle backcomb brush and I do agree, I felt like they were very rough on my hair and if anything just made my hair look frizzy as oppose to voluminous. Then I switched to using a non-flexible, standard plastic comb which I would have said worked well until I tried the Belle Version. Unlike the brush I had been using, the Belle one has flexible, slightly softer bristle that definitely created less damage in my hair. I also found that the backcomb was much easier to brush out afterwards compared to a standard hard comb and noticed a lot less damage and fall out. The finished look was smooth and voluminous, with no excess frizz and none of that dreaded birds nest look that sometimes a backcombed mane can resemble.

My Opinion:
This was my first time using a scalp brush. I used it in the shower, after applying my shampoo, in circular motions with a light pressure. It's definitely a relaxing experience and something I never would have thought of to add to my hair care routine!  I think especially if you use a lot of product in your hair, like hairspray, dry shampoo etc.. then you will definitely notice the benefits of owning a scalp brush.

My Opinion:
Silk Hair Ties have become increasingly popular over the last number of months and featured in many 2020 Christmas Gift Guides as a highly recommended, fool-proof gift. I usually wear my hair down, with soft curls but is there anything more satisfying then getting home at the end of the day and throwing your hair up in a bun or a ponytail?! I have been trying to be more gentle to my hair and substituting with a silk hair tie is definitely one way to help. My Opinion:
Practicality aside, can we take a moment to acknowledge how beautiful these pillowcases are! There is something very luxurious about sleeping on a silk pillowcase, but beauty and feel aside there's no denying the positive benefits of making the switch to silk. Even on days where I curled my hair, I found increased longevity with the style when I would sleep on a silk instead of a cotton case. Luckily, I don't suffer from acne so unfortunately, I can't comment on the skincare benefits but I did notice the positive difference it made to my hair. Much like the scrunchies, I also think the silk pillowcases would make for a beautiful gift.
